The Karvonen tradition of customer satisfaction began in 1926 when Yalmer Karvonen opened Karvonen's. Later the store became known as Karvonen and Son when son, Harold, joined the business in the late 1940's. The tradition continued when Harold's son, John, joined the family business in 1981.
